Inspirational connections in Utrecht
It finally happened again on June 28. A Salesforce live event in the Netherlands!
In the Werkspoorkathedraal in Utrecht, part of our industrial heritage, we heard inspirational stories from Salesforce clients, Trailblazers and Thought Leaders like Just eat Takeaway, Janssen de Jong Groep, Rituals, KLM and KWF.It’s a time of challenges in the fields of supply, finding talent to fulfill vacancies and more. Digital transformation has had to accelerate to compensate for shortages in multiple fields. What used to take a decade, has often been successfully accomplished in mere months during the past two years.
The Salesforce ecosystem offers continuous innovations for crm, data analysis, service, e-commerce, marketing and sales and has all the tools to simplify and aid this digital transformation. At Salesforce Live Netherlands, we got to see some great examples of this.
The opening keynote, by Salesforce General Manager Netherlands, Michiel van Vlimmeren, was about the partner ecosyem, which we are part of as consulting partner, and the growth of Salesforce in the Netherlands. Salesforce Netherlands was also named “Best Place to Work” this year!
Breakout Sessions
Two of our clients featured in interesting breakout sessions. Just Eat Takeaway, with Salesforce technology, has succeeded in optimising personalization, relevant communication and service. As a digital native company, operating in twenty countries, they try to make every interaction with a customer personal and relevant.
For example, they have succeeded in delivering vouchers within the hour, where this could take up to a week before. And they are not stopping there, in the near future they want to determine the next best action for every individual cutomer, using Salesforce Einstein AI. Just Eat Takeaway also introduced their new service, Thuisbezorgd for Business, with a voucher for everyone attending.
Janssen de Jong Groep is the opposite of Just Eat Takeaway. Not a digital native company at all, but one with a paper archive in folders and boxes. But maybe because of that, they were able to make the transformation to digital first in record time.
Now every stakeholder in this company with 42 brands, and activities ranging from location sourcing to recycling building materials and everything in between, can access all the data relevant to them. We are very proud we could help them build this system.
Inspiration and information for everyone
We came away from Karl Raats’ inspiring, educational and hilarious closing keynote feeling even more wise and creative than at the start of the day. This has been a most inspiring and informative gathering for Salesforce partners, customers and other interested parties. A big thank you to Salesforce, all the people who helped organise this, catering and security. We are looking forward to the next one and hope to see you there!
